Seeing the Need
In 1968 a few visionary leaders established the Bethel Non-profit Housing Corporation. The goal of this grass roots organization was to create and provide affordable housing for people in Asbury Park and the surrounding communities. Shortly after the vision of the organization was realized when Vita Gardens Apartments opened its doors. For the next 40 years this affordable housing complex would serve as a place that hundreds of individuals would and still do call home.
Our Mission
In 2012 the Bethel Non-profit Housing Corporation was dissolved and the BBB for Life Foundation, Inc. was formed. The mission of BBB is to continue the tradition of caring for the community by inspiring hope, providing support, and having a positive and sustaining impact on the lives of disadvantaged families and youth in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
